Register Here The Interlochen Classical Guitar Workshop is led by Dr. Brad DeRoche, and features accomplished guitarist Matt Palmer. They are both acclaimed concert artists and music educators, dedicated to helping you enhance and refine your playing skills. In this program you will work closely with artist faculty in hands-on workshops where you will study scale technique, sight reading, tone production, performance anxiety, memorization, practice routines, and much more. Master classes with the faculty artists provide an opportunity for each person to perform and learn in a relaxed environment along with other participants. Enjoy meeting fellow classical guitar enthusiasts and gain feedback on your playing through supportive coaching. Experience beautiful evening concerts by the featured faculty artists and take part in a participant’s concert on the final day of the program. Socializing with your peers and faculty artists enriches the workshop and makes for a wonderful overall experience. Participants should have at least one year of serious study on the guitar, should know how to read standard music notation, and have a basic understanding of classical guitar style playing. Students must supply their own instruments and foot rests.
