Do you have a story to tell that doesn't seem to be served well by the standard story format? This intensive weekend course will explore forms that act as vessels for the writing (think how-tos, letters, recipes, lists, etc.) Students will play with a variety of forms through creative in-class exercises intended to reinvigorate stories and take them in new directions. This course is open to both fiction and nonfiction writers. Faculty Nadine Kenney Johnstone Creative Writing Instructor, Interlochen College of Creative Arts Schedule Supplies Students should bring a notebook, pen, and laptop or tablet. For those who would prefer, Interlochen has Mac laptops available to borrow while working in the classroom. If you plan to borrow a laptop, please bring a flash drive so you can save your work. Works in progress are welcome, but not required. Please bring a bagged lunch on Saturday so the class can eat together during the first half of the lunch break (optional). A refrigerator and microwave are available in the break room. Snacks and beverages will also be provided.
