Register Here Have you ever wanted to design a monogram or learn how to turn a word into a visually stunning piece of art? Then join us for this one-day workshop and discover the beauty of hand-rendered letterforms and their practical uses. This workshop will help students learn what to look for in letterforms, learn how to embellish them, and learn how to make the letterforms play well together. Participants will receive general instruction in letter shapes and design principles and will then work toward developing their own individual piece in class, whether a monogram, logo, or personal lettering project. Having some familiarity with calligraphy or typographic letterforms, is not required, but will help maximize the student’s experience in this workshop and is a perfect extension of the Beginning Italic Calligraphy course held the day before. Students should bring any examples of lettering that inspire them to share and learn. All supplies will be provided as a part of the materials fee.
