Register Here This course is a continuation of the concepts and techniques covered in Beginning Drawing and/or is a course for those students who are looking to enhance their previously developed drawing skills. Concepts such as value, form, and composition will be reviewed as students explore drawing outdoors (weather permitting), drawing from live birds, as provided by Wings of Wonder Raptor Sanctuary (wingsofwonder.org). This class is intended for those who have some drawing background and are looking for a more challenging experience. Please see supplies tab for a list of materials to bring to the workshop. Some supplies will also be available onsite. Faculty Glenn Wolff Instructor of Visual Arts, Interlochen College of Creative Arts Schedule Supplies The following supplies (except small sketchbooks) will be available to students during the workshop, however, you may want to purchase your own for continued practice. A small sketchbook (brand and size - student choice) General pencil peel and sketch charcoal pencils (at least three) 1 white charcoal pencil Conte crayon sketching square crayons: brown and black Pigma black micron ink pens (3 of various sizes) A drawing pad at least 11” x 14”. Examples include: Canson XL 11 x 14 Inches Drawing Sheet Pad, Top Wire Binding Strathmore 400 Series Drawing Paper Pad, Smooth Surface 2B - 4B drawing pencils Pencil sharpener 2 kneaded erasers 2 plastic erasers In addition, drawing boards and lightweight easels are available for student use.
