Under the direction of award-winning conductor Dr. Jerry Blackstone, participants will enjoy an immersive opportunity singing with fellow participants in a full vocal ensemble. Included in the camp experience are daily vocal warm-ups, sectional rehearsals led by talented faculty section leaders, enriching afternoon discussions, and the fellowship of colleagues and faculty as a part of evening social activities. The camp experience culminates with a final public performance in Corson Auditorium on the last day. Repertoire is tailored to the size and experience of the ensemble overall and selections for 2016 will be announced in the spring, with works mailed approximately one month in advance to enrolled participants. In order to fully participate in this experience, enrollees must be able to read music and must have some experience performing in a vocal ensemble. Our concert on July 2 will begin at 1 p.m. at Corson on Interlochen's campus. Concert attire is white shirt/top/blouse (no ties) and black pants/skirt and black footwear.
