At Interlochen College of Creative Arts, musicians of all skill levels can experience a variety of inspiring workshops and programs. We are located in beautiful northern Michigan, just south of Traverse City.

Early Music Workshop

Adult Arts Program

Join us for the 2019 Early Music Workshop as we explore Renaissance music from Franco-Flemish composers! Period instruments are highlighted and program sessions focus on articulation, ornamentation, improvisation, and rehearsal techniques. The workshop culminates with an optional participant concert.

Mountain Dulcimer Workshop

Join mountain dulcimer performer/songwriter/recording artist and educator, Tull Glazener, in this afternoon workshop appropriate for players who are beyond beginner* to those at the level of intermediate or above.

Mountain Dulcimer Immersive Workshop

Meet new people, learn a new instrument, or reconnect with your dulcimer in this one-day workshop, offering multiple sessions at various levels, by three devoted teaching-artists. The mountain dulcimer is a simple instrument - easy for the novice to begin playing songs with just one lesson, and fun for all levels to explore its many possibilities!

Master Teacher Workshop for Flute

Find inspiration and fresh approaches to your flute playing with guest artist Aaron Goldman and music director Jane Berkner at this year’s workshop. Flutists of all levels who seek to grow their skills and flute teachers in search of innovative ways to inspire others, will find this a rewarding 2-day program.

Chapman Stick Workshop

The 2019 Chapman Stick Workshop faculty line-up includes Emmett Chapman, creator of the Chapman Stick®, along with master performers and teachers of the Stick, Steve Adelson and Greg Howard. Join us for this 4-day workshop and gain valuable skills, hone techniques and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow players!
