Learn to Play Music: Jubo Method for Educators and Adults

Adult Arts Program

Discover the Jubo Method, a new American pedagogy for entry-level music that provides students a solid foundation in music basics, good playing habits, sight-reading, and simple composition. Prepare yourself or your students to be ready to take on greater musical challenges, no matter the age. This workshop is open to educators or anyone interested in learning to read music and master a musical instrument.

Learning Music Theory through the Keyboard

Whether you are a listener or performer, this workshop will introduce or refresh participants understanding of the fundamentals of music theory using an organized and sequential approach. Material will cover topics including: notation, rhythm, dynamics, tempo, chord construction, scales, key signatures and more.

Chapman Stick Workshop

The Chapman Stick Workshop will include instruction for players of the Chapman Stick®, the two-handed tapping electric instrument popularized in the 1970s and 1980s by Tony Levin, who performed alongside artists including Peter Gabriel and King Crimson.
