Band and Orchestra Conductors Symposium Lodging

If you registered for the symposium with the room and board tuition option, your campus lodging will be in a Scholarship Lodge or in a McWhorter dormitory room pending reservation availability. 

Scholarship Lodges are rustic camp-style cabins featuring one bedroom, a private bath and are intermingled throughout Interlochen's campus.

The McWhorter House is a dormitory located across from The Bowl Auditorium and offers basic dorm rooms with private baths.

Individual campus lodging reservation details for registered participants will be sent with your email registration confirmation.

Band and Orchestra Conductors Symposium Meals

Your campus meals will be in the Stone Center Cafeteria if you registered for the symposium with the room and board tuition option. 

Served buffet-style in the cafeteria, breakfasts include such standards as pancakes, scrambled eggs or cereal bar; with lunches and dinners featuring a salad bar and several main course selections. Vegetarian options exist at every meal. A dining experience unlike any other, this is an Interlochen tradition! 

Transportation

Interlochen Center for the Arts is 16 miles southwest of Traverse City, Michigan, two miles south of US 31 on highway M-137. Traverse City is serviced by several daily flights via Detroit, Chicago and Minneapolis. If Stone Student Center is notified in advance of arrival time, participants arriving by plane or bus will be met by Interlochen transportation for a nominal fee.
