Jessica Kovan is an accomplished artist and educator who is passionate about the beauty of the world we live in and she communicates those feelings in her paintings. Her overall teaching philosophy is to help students find a personal and playful approach to making art. With a PhD in adult education, and as an Artist Educator for Golden Acrylics, Jessica combines her love of painting with her passion for teaching. She believes art is an individual journey and wants to help students experience the journey and find their own way in the learning process.
Jessica's paintings have been featured in North Light Books, The Best of Mixed Media, and online in CreateMixedMedia.com. She is an active member and signature artist of the International Society of Experimental Artists and the International Society of Acrylic Painters. In addition to her workshops, she teaches a nationally recognized online art journaling class. Her paintings are in numerous private collections and have been exhibited and collected throughout the United States including the NCAA Sports Hall of Fame.
