John Morgan

John Morgan is from New Braunfels, Texas, just north of San Antonio, where he lives with his wife, Linda. John currently plays euphonium with the Comal Community Band and a tuba/euphonium quartet. He also plays trombone in the Victoria Symphony, Mid-Texas Symphony and the Prince Solms Brass Quintet. John received his Bachelor’s Degree from Eastern New Mexico University and his Master’s Degree from Colorado State University. John started four New Horizons organizations in Spokane, Washington, was the conductor of the New Horizons Orchestra at Holy Names Music Center and also served as the Executive Director of the Music Center. John is a retired Army Officer and played for six years in the United States Army Band in Washington, D.C. early on in his military career. He played in an authentic German band for several years while stationed in Germany. John has extensive experience with brass quintets, tuba/euphonium quartets and German bands (both large and small). He has also played lead trombone in Big Bands and played in many Concert Bands, Wind Ensembles and Orchestras. John developed the official web site for New Horizons International Music Association and continues to maintain the web site to this day. John will be teaching the German Band and Brass Chamber Music.
