About Mary

Mary Brodbeck has studied, employed, and taught the traditional methods of Japanese woodblock printmaking since 1998. The calm aesthetic and Zen-like qualities of her landscapes have received critical acclaim in both Japan and the United States. They can be found in the permanent collection at the Detroit Institute of Arts and in many private collections worldwide. Mary�۪s documentary film entitled BECOMING MADE, about the art form of mokuhanga, has been ���Highly Recommended�۝ by Video Librarian��҉��a screening of this 35-minute film will be included during the workshop at Interlochen Center for the Arts.
