Nancy lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with her retired husband, Larry. Nancy directs four New Horizons groups in Grand Rapids, serves as Principal Oboe in the West Shore Symphony Orchestra and is on the WSSO Board of Directors. Additionally, she is the founder and artistic director of the Winter Solstice Celebration and is actively involved in playing chamber music throughout the west Michigan area. Nancy returns to St. Louis, Missouri each summer to play Principal Oboe in the St. Louis Muny Opera Theater Orchestra, a position she has held for over 30 years. Her doctorate is from The University of Michigan. Nancy’s favorite position is that of “Nana” to two precious grandchildren, Dane (8), and Faith (5), who are following in the musical footsteps of their grandmother. Nancy will be conducting the String Orchestra and teaching Woodwind and String Chamber Music.
