Pam comes to Interlochen as an experienced visual arts educator with more than a decade of curatorial, art administration and teaching experience. She has also taught at Central Michigan University, Bradley University, the University of Bridgeport and Nassau Community College. Pam has previously taught courses in Sculpture, Visual Organization, Drawing, Gallery Management and Collections, and Interdisciplinary Practices/Multi-Media Arts and has led the BFA Seminars at Central Michigan University and Bradley University.
Before moving to the Midwest in 2001, Pam served in the Master Teaching Artist Program for the Connecticut Commission on the Arts conducting workshops in welding, casting, Raku ceramics, papermaking, integrated media, performance art, educational design and curatorial programming at such places as Storm King Art Center and Weir Farm National Historic Trust. Pam also worked for the Music and Arts Center for Humanity, a non-for-profit agency providing arts programming for kids with disabilities and at-risk youth in Bridgeport, Connecticut. During her years there, she served as Program Director, Ceramic and Painting Instructor then in Marketing and Public Relations and was responsible for the development of such programs as MACH/Ailey Camp, Bridgeport Neighborhood Studios and Artworks.
