Sandy Mauchley

Formerly pianist with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and recipient of the Elsa A. Sawyer Fellowship for outstanding performance ability, Sandy holds a graduate degree with “High Honors” from the University of Wisconsin.  Her teachers and coaches have included Gunnar Johansen, Paul Badura-Skoda, and Dr. Karen Shaw (Indiana University).  In addition to performing, teaching, and touring, she has developed a curriculum in piano pedagogy and enjoys composing.  In 1990 Ms. Mauchley received an honorable mention in the Distinguished Composer of the Year Competition for her two piano piece entitled “Time in the Space of Night.”
