Program Overview
Enrollment Update: Flute and trumpet registrations have been filled at this time. We are currently accepting participant flute and trumpet registrations on a wait-list basis if any additional enrollments become available that maintain a working ratio with the other instrumentation.
More than 70 adults from across the United States come together to experience the joy of ensemble performance in a challenging, supportive and friendly environment. Repertoire will be tailored to the ensemble and led by Adult Band Camp Artistic Director Tom Riccobono, Interlochen Arts Academy faculty and community band and orchestra conductor.
Instrumental faculty will teach master classes, coach daily chamber music sessions and play in the full ensemble. The experience will culminate with a public performance in Corson Auditorium. "The six days spent in the company of the dedicated staff at Interlochen simply SUPERCHARGED my musical enthusiasm. The combination of people and campus environment had such an invigorating effect. My wife said I was a different musician as soon as I got back home. It was time very well spent." Shane T., 2011 Adult Band Camp first-time participant.
Classes will be held throughout the campus of Interlochen Center for the Arts and will culminate with a public performance in Corson Auditorium. Designed by Alden Dow and dedicated in 1975, Corson Auditorium seats 952 and is a beautiful, comfortable auditorium with excellent acoustics. Corson Auditorium hosts Interlochen Arts Academy, Interlochen Arts Camp and acclaimed guest artist performances every year.
