Arts Management Intensive

Program Overview

Arts Management Intensive: The Successful Arts Organization in the 21st Century

Discover practical strategies for making arts organizations more efficient and successful. The non-profit arts sector is facing significant challenges as a result of changing audience participation and giving patterns.

This workshop will be useful for any student, arts manager or board member who would like to explore the components of arts management, from funding to marketing to fostering a more supportive climate for the arts.

The Arts Management Intensive will feature presentations by working arts managers and innovative leaders in the arts. Participants will combine working sessions on a variety of topics. The class will be led by Ellen Rosewall, an arts administrator and lecturer with decades of experience.

Interlochen Center for the Arts is an authorized provider of continuing education units (SB-CEUs) as approved by the Michigan State Board of Education.  Michigan educators participating in the Arts Management Intensive may be able to receive SB-CEUs.  If you are interested in earning SB-CEUs for attending the Arts Management Intensive, please see the program registration form for further details.

Workshop classes will be held in The Writing House. Classrooms are sunny and comfortable, and there is a large common area in the center of the building which hosts various readings and events.
