Band and Orchestra Conductors Symposium

Program Overview

Work with leading band and orchestra conductors to refine and enhance conducting techniques.

Throughout the symposium, participants will observe rehearsals of the Interlochen World Youth Wind Symphony and the Interlochen All-State Orchestra and attend lectures on repertoire, conducting fundamentals and rehearsal techniques. There will be many opportunities for conversation during daily panel discussions.

Interlochen Center for the Arts is an authorized provider of continuing education units (SB-CEUs) as approved by the Michigan State Board of Education.  Michigan educators participating in the Band and Orchestra Conductors Symposium may be able to receive SB-CEUs.  If you are interested in earning SB-CEUs for attending the Band and Orchestra Conductors Symposium, please see the program registration form for further details.

Cost: 

$375 Participant tuition fee
$575 Participant tuition fee with campus lodging and meals

Registration deadline: 

Not accepting registrations at this time.

Cancellation policy: 

Cancellations by the participant made before the program registration deadline are subject to a $75 non-refundable deposit.  No tuition refunds will be given after the registration deadline.  A full tuition refund will be issued if the event is cancelled.
