Black & White Film Photography Workshop

Program Overview

Explore the artistic potential of traditional black and white silver process image printing. Photographers will use classroom, field and lab time to focus on the artistic value of traditional black and white images. 

Participants must provide their own 35mm camera and black and white film. All other materials will be provided.

Workshop classes will be taught in the state-of-the-art dark room in the new Herbert H. and Barbara C. Dow Center for Visual Arts and throughout Interlochen's 1,200 acre wooded campus. The Dow Center for Visual Arts was completed in September 2008. The 35,900 square foot visual arts facility includes specialized studio space for a variety of visual arts disciplines. It also houses 1,700 square feet of gallery space and 3,600 square feet of outdoor instructional space.
