If you are an artist or writer who wants to talk about your process and promote your work online, or if you always wanted to start a blog but didn't know how, this one day course will teach you everything you need to know. Participants will learn how to create a blog using Blogger--Google's free blogging program--and will choose a design for their blog, create a blog post that includes text, photos, video and sound, and will learn how to promote their blog via social media. Philip Hartigan will also share with participants his ten tips for successful blogging. In no time you will be able to share your art with the world! And do not worry, if you use e-mail, you can start a blog. Or, if you know how to use a smartphone, you can definitely start a blog! Participants must have basic computer skills and may choose to work from their own laptop computer or work from a computer supplied for them during the workshop.
Please note that if you are bringing your own laptop, for optimum operation, participants must have Windows XP/7 or Mac OSX 10.3.9 or higher for their operating system and must have the latest version of Google Chrome, which will be used for our web browser.
