Ceramics Studio Workshop

Program Overview

Create art in the ceramics studio of the new Dow Center for Visual Arts on the Interlochen campus.

The Ceramics Studio Workshop will promote individual expression through hand and slab-building, throwing on the wheel, glazing and firing. Participants will also experience the excitement of a Raku firing.

The Herbert H. and Barbara C. Dow Center for Visual Arts was completed in September 2008. The 35,900 square foot visual arts facility includes specialized studio space for a variety of visual arts disciplines. It also houses 1,700 square feet of gallery space and 3,600 square feet of outdoor instructional space.

Registration deadline: 

Extended registration deadline is July 17, 2009. This program is limited to 12 participants who will be registered on a first-come, first-served basis. Early registration will help ensure your enrollment. Registrations received after the program registration deadline will be processed as space permits with the approval of the Interlochen College of Creative Arts' Director.  Registration confirmation will be sent via e-mail once registration form and payment have been received and processed. Please complete one registration form per participant per program enrolled. Full tuition payment is required to be submitted with the completed registration form for each individual participant. 

Cancellation policy: 

Cancellations by the participant made before the program registration deadline are subject to a $75 non-refundable deposit. No tuition refunds will be given after the original registration deadline of July 1, 2009.  A full tuition refund will be issued if the event is cancelled. Tuition fees do not include housing and meal fees.
