Plein Air Painting and In-Studio Boot Camp

Join nationally recognized, award-winning artist Mark Mehaffey for a two-day intensive in-studio boot camp and “open air” painting journey on the campus of Interlochen Center for the Arts.
Monday, July 21, 2014 to Tuesday, July 22, 2014

Registration Fee: $275

Class is FULL. Registration is now closed.

Join award-winning artist Mark Mehaffey as he leads demonstrations in watercolor and acrylic paint and provides participants with an in-studio crash course to review the fundamentals of color mixing, composition and other basic painting concepts. Participants will then apply their knowledge and hone their powers of observation as they capture the serene beauty of the natural landscape. After working "en plein air," participants will be invited back into the studio to discuss and fine tune their works.

All skill levels are welcome.

Participants may bring either pastels, watercolors and/or acrylic paints. Please see the suggested supply list for more information on the materials to bring to the workshop.
