Program Overview
Discover the dynamic interplay that fuels both painting and writing. The disciplines of painting and writing both rely upon close observation, experimentation and constant revision.
Many writers, including Henry Miller and Elizabeth Bishop, have turned to painting as a source of inspiration and expression. Similarly, many painters including Paul Klee and Fairfield Porter turned to writing. Painter, writer and teacher, Duncan Sprattmoran, will present a series of cross-pollinations where participants will share literary and visual works in facilitated discussion about the artistic process.
“The enthusiasm and knowledge base of the staff was excellent. The ability to adapt to the specific needs of the individual students was wonderful."
