Join Interlochen College of Creative Arts' faculty members Matthew Schroeder and Thomas Clippert for this exciting workshop focused on fingerstyle guitar technique, groove, and musicianship! Participants in this course will enjoy two 90-minute sessions led by the instructors, the opportunity to practice with peers, enjoy dinner together, and network. The day will conclude with a performance by the faculty on Interlochen’s campus. This program is perfect for those seeking to brush up or improve their skills in fingerstyle technique or those seeking a refresher on technique in preparation for the four-day Fingerstyle Guitar Workshop. Participants in this course should have at least one year of serious study on the guitar, including a basic understanding of general chord shapes, and familiarity with standard notation or tablature. Students must supply their own steel-string acoustic guitar.
