About Allison

Allison Monroe performs on Renaissance, Baroque, and Classical violin and viola, treble and tenor viol, vielle, rebec, medieval harp, and sings. She directs the Collegium Musicum, comprising the Medieval and Renaissance ensembles, at Case Western Reserve University, from which she also holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Historical Performance Practice. Her performing credits include concerts with the Newberry Consort, Apollo�۪s Fire, Atlanta Baroque Orchestra, Les D̩lices, Seattle Baroque Orchestra, and the Washington Bach Consort. Allison won Early Music America�۪s 2017 Barbara Thornton Memorial Scholarship and is a co-founder of Trob��r, a small medieval band of voices and instruments.
