About Janet

Janet Kohler teaches figure drawing and painting, Color mixing with pastels and Plein-Air painting classes at the Ann Arbor Art Center. She has taught numerous workshops in Pastel & Landscape Painting; Drawing at Washtenaw Community College, Drawing the Figure workshops at the University of Michigan Museum of Art and pastel painting workshops at Interlochen College of Creative Arts at Interlochen, MI and Crooked Tree Art Center in Petoskey, MI. Janet's pastels and oils have been exhibited nationally and internationally and are included in many corporate and private collections. She's received many honors and awards and most recently her figure drawing was published in the third series of drawing books: Stroke of Genius 3-The Best of Drawing and her work was included in a 2-page spread in the Best of Worldwide Artists, Vol. I. Janet exhibits locally with the Ann Arbor Area Pastelists, Ann Arbor Women Artists and is a Board member for the Great Lakes Pastel Society and a member of the Michigan Plein Air Painters. ��
