Mary Kay Zuravleff has published three novels with Farrar, Straus & Giroux. The Washington Post named her latest, Man Alive!, a 2013 Notable Book, calling it “a family novel for smart people.” The New York Times deemed her second, The Bowl Is Already Broken, “a tart, affectionate satire of the museum world’s bickering and scheming.” And her first, The Frequency of Souls, won the American Academy’s Rosenthal Award and the James Jones First Novel Award. She is the recipient of a 2019 DC Artist Fellowship, her tenth. Mary Kay is the founder of NoveltyDC, which offers coaching, classes, and consultation, and the cofounder of DC Women Writers.
