Our students experience all the fun of summer camp — from cabin games and activities to enjoying the sun and exploring the great outdoors — all while practicing, performing, and making art. Perfect your skills and learn new ones alongside soon-to-be lifelong friends.
Arts Camp Summer 2024 Sessions and Dates
Interlochen Arts Camp offers a variety of session lengths and dates for multiple age ranges (grades 3-12). Two and four-week sessions are available for grades 3-6, six and three-week sessions are available for grades 6-12, and one-week "Intensive" programs are available for grades 9-12.

We offer a diverse selection of summer camp programming and education in seven arts disciplines: creative writing, dance, film and new media, interdisciplinary arts, music, theatre, and visual arts. Choose your desired division below to learn more.
Create Art Alongside Adventure
Bring your curiosity and excitement. Leave with new techniques, lots of life and camp experience, and lasting memories. You’ll find counselors, faculty, and mentors who will provide exceptional instruction and help your talent grow—and you'll feel energized from the inspiration of your fellow young artists from around the world.
Learn, Create, and Perform
You’ll spend your days practicing your art, or stretching your creativity by trying new opportunities at one of the best summer camps for the arts. You'll explore interests and experience adventures outside of your arts discipline in an amazing environment. And you’ll do it surrounded by exceptional instructors and talented friends who will cheer you on.
Explore the Outdoors
Experience the wonders of nature in environmental studies classes. Enjoy our scenic campus during your free time. Go swimming, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, or sailing on one of our two freshwater lakes—or take on some friendly competition in individual and team sports.

More than 20 Art Academy students and Arts Camp alumni will tour with Carnegie Hall’s National Youth Orchestra, NYO2, and NYO Jazz groups this summer.
Nine alumni received nominations across eight award categories for ‘Stereophonic,’ ‘Prayer for the French Republic,’ ‘Water for Elephants,’ and other acclaimed productions.
A 1998 graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy, Măcelaru has served as the inaugural Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the World Youth Symphony Orchestra at Interlochen Arts Camp since 2019.
